Duties & Taxes
Do I Have to Pay Import Duties and Taxes?
Taxes and VAT on Orders
For private sales within the European Union (EU), you always pay the VAT of the country where the package is being delivered. VAT rates are automatically calculated and displayed during checkout so you can clearly see the amount you need to pay.
For orders outside the EU, you pay VAT in the country where you are importing the products. This means you are responsible for paying the local VAT and any import duties at your country's customs.
In some cases, we offer the option to pay VAT and import duties directly through us. If this option is available, it will be clearly indicated during the shipping selection process. If it is not displayed, unfortunately, this option is not available, and you must handle VAT and import duties yourself upon import.
Therefore, always check the customs regulations of your country and ensure you are aware of any additional costs before placing an order.
Shipments Outside the EU:
If you are ordering from a country outside the EU, it is important to know that customs policies can vary significantly between countries. All prices for shipments outside the EU are displayed exclusive of VAT, meaning the customer is fully responsible for applicable VAT and possible import duties. Please contact your local customs office for specific information on import duties, taxes, and regulations that apply to your import.
Your Responsibility:
As a customer, it is your responsibility to ensure that the products you order can be legally imported into your chosen country. This includes verifying whether there are restrictions on the type or quantity of products you intend to purchase.
Customs Fees:
Any additional customs fees or import duties incurred during the import process are the responsibility of the recipient. This means you, as the customer, must cover these costs, which can vary depending on your country’s regulations.
Possible Delays:
Please note that shipments to countries outside the EU may be delayed by customs. These delays are often beyond our control, and we recommend allowing extra time for delivery when ordering internationally.
Check Before You Order:
To avoid surprises, we strongly recommend researching your country’s customs rules and contacting customs officials if you have any questions or concerns before placing your order. This proactive approach can help ensure a smoother import experience.
